Anarchism is, among other things, the supposedly “radical” idea that the strongest, healthiest, most sustainable human communities are those made up of genuinely free, empowered, informed individuals, and the freest individuals are those in communities based on cooperation, mutual aid, direct, participatory, consensus-oriented decision making (“politics”). Hierarchical systems of decision making and power distribution, including the ludicrous scam of “representation,” are sources of mass disempowerment, universally designed to benefit those at the top, and extract wealth from those at the bottom. We can, and must, destroy all hierarchical systems of domination and exploitation, and replace them with more equitable, ecological alternatives.
